Siltex Floating Silt Barriers/Turbidity Curtains provide sedimentation protection by enclosing an area of work, during construction or dredging, near or within a body of water.

They allow the disturbed sediment suspended in water to settle in the controlled area, thereby preventing environmental damage to a larger region.

They are manufactured from high strength woven geotextiles and are custom fabricated to meet OPSD standards and specific dimensional requirements.

Each Silt Barrier is constructed with a High Visibility Orange top pocket that contains a 19mm polypropylene load line and either 100mm or 150mm closed cell floats and a bottom pocket that contains an 8mm ballast chain.

Grommets and connectors for joining sections together can be provided when more than one curtain is required.

All Floating Silt Barriers are custom made to the required size.
